Alan C. Mattingly, 62, of Ft. Myers, Florida passed away at his home on Tuesday July 21, 2015 after an extended illness.
Alan was born in Zanesville, Ohio on September 28, 1952 and grew up in and around Dresden, Ohio. He graduated from Tri-Valley High School, after High School he became a Heavy Equipment Mechanic. Alan could work on all sorts of equipment; his skills took him all over the country working in Colorado, Utah, Nevada and many other locations.
He is survived by his four sisters Susan Barton of Naples, FL, Sally A. Miller of Coshocton, OH, Cindy (Jerry) Balderson of Kalaheo, HI and Missy Vanderkam of Kerrville, TX; several nieces and nephews.
Alan is preceded in death by his father Alfred “Big Al” Mattingly; mother Mildred “Poots” Mattingly; brother John E. Mattingly KIA Vietnam; brother in law Thomas J. “Tom” Miller; nephew Joseph Legradi.
Per Alan’s wishes, a cremation will take place and a private family memorial service will be held at later date.
