Alice Ellen Marlow

Biography

Alice Ellen Marlow, 86, of Coshocton went to be with her Lord and Savior Monday August 22, 2011. Ellen was born to the late Dennis and Lucia (Bond) Fouty in Jackson County, OH on November 30, 1924. She loved her Lord and enjoyed the serenity of the outdoors; watching hummingbirds, finches at the feeder and the horses grazing in the field. She enjoyed these gifts at the home of her daughter, Mary, with whom she resided for the last ten years. Ellen was a member of the Coshocton Church of the Nazarene where she was affectionately known as "Mom Ellen" by many members of the church. She married Dexter Orland Marlow in 1948, he preceded her in death in 1977. Ellen is survived by her daughters Mary Lancaster of Coshocton, OH, Alice (Clifford) Greer of Wellston, OH, Sharon Colley of Old Town, FL and Debra Marlow of Albany, OH; sisters Elizabeth (Ray) Wimer and Karlene (Tollie) Colley both of Jackson County, OH brothers Clifton (Donna) and Russell Fouty of Jackson County, OH and Robert (Maria) Fouty of Columbus, OH and several other extended family members. Along with her parents and husband, Ellen is preceded in death by her step-sons John Dexter and Anthony James Marlow; grandson John Russell Rush; brothers Dennis Randall Fouty, Sanford W. Fouty and Donnie Fouty; and a sister Margaret Johnson. Per Ellen's wishes a cremation will take place and a celebration of life service will be held at the Coshocton Church of the Nazarene, 1058 Orange St. on Monday August 29, 2011 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Don Lain officiating.
