Arthur Glenn Titus

Arthur G. "Art" Titus, 80, of Coshocton passed away at Coshocton County Memorial Hospital Palliative Care Unit on Thursday July 7, 2011. Art was born on May 12, 1931 in Blasdell, NY to the late Arthur and Mabel Titus Sr. He served in the United States Army from May of 1949 to February 1960, also during active time of the Korean Conflict from 1950-1957. During his service time, he was awarded the Expert Infantry Badge, Korean Service Ribbon and the Purple Heart. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge for 28 years, 32nd degree for 25 years, REACT member for 10years and attended the Shepherd's Christian Assembly Church. Art is survived by his loving wife Betty C. Titus whom he married on December 8, 1978; three children Loretta Kohman (friend James Litchfield) of Columbus, Theresa (Rick) Hare Titus Acord of Coshocton, George (Cheryl) Hare Jr. of Coshocton and Karen O'Connor (friend Richard Gamble) of Coshocton; grandchildren Jessica (Kevin) Wilson, Richard (Christy) Acord Jr., Jeanie (Jeff) Griffin, Brent (Billie) Hare, Travis (Kendra) Hare and Brian O'Connor; great grandchildren Kendrajo (Jordan) Fry, Samantha Wilson and fiance Devin Luce, Kelsie Wilson, Rebkah Griffin, Ashley and Benjamin Acord, Breanna Hare, Kaylana and Tradence Hare; several nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by five sisters. Friends may call at the Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main St., Coshocton on Sunday July 10, 2011 from 6-8 PM with Masonic services starting at 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 10:00 AM with Pastor Starkey Lawrence officiating. Interment will follow in Coshocton County Memorial Gardens with Coshocton County Veterans Council performing military honors.
