Life Legacy
Barbara A. Haas, 74, of Coshocton passed away Wednesday morning, June 12, in Autumn Healthcare of Coshocton after a short illness. She was born on June 20, 1938 in Ironton, Ohio to the late William L. Haas II and Laura L. (Blake) Haas.
Barbara graduated from Ironton High School in 1956. She was the sole caregiver to her mother Laura for fifty years.
Barbara worked as a secretary to the city manager for the city of Ironton, Ohio and served as temporary auditor. Barbara also worked and retired from the city of Lafayette, Indiana as the Housing and Urban Development administrator. She was also a piano teacher and a Baptist by faith.
Barbara is survived by four brothers: Joseph (Marty) Haas New Albany, OH, Donald R. (Mary) Haas Naples, FL, James E. (Darla) Haas Fort Myers, FL, and David (Lois) Haas, Coshocton, Ohio; and was a loving aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents, Barbara is preceded in death by four brothers; Leo B. Haas, Richard E. Haas, Paul N. Haas, and William L. Haas III.
Services for Barbara will be held on Monday, June 17, at 2 P.M. at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens, 1718 W. 350 North, West Lafayette, Indiana 47906, with one hour of visitation prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requested that memorial contributions be made to the Health Services of Coshocton County "Hospice". Miller Funeral Home of Coshocton is handling the arrangements for the family.
