Barbara J Weygandt

Barbara Weygandt, age 81, of West Lafayette passed away on Saturday, March 30, 2024 at Altercare. She was born on March 11, 1943 in Bakersville to the late Robert E. and Marjorie E. (Ott) Chamberlin. She was a 1961 graduate of West Lafayette High School. She worked as a Registered Dietitian at College Park and ended her working years at Miller Pharmacy. She grew up in the Presbyterian Church in Bakersville and later attended the Presbyterian Church in Newcomerstown.  She was proud to be the first recipient from West Lafayette High School to receive a state degree of the Future Homemakers of America. She enjoyed gardening and used to grow a large vegetable garden. She liked being outside, sitting on the porch and having her grandchildren and great grandchildren visit.

She is survived by her children, Art (Melissa) Saylor of Fresno, Brian (Joy) Saylor of Auburn, Kentucky and Gail (Jon) Gallwitz of Walhonding; grandchildren, Joshua (Kaitlyn) Saylor, Christopher (Riley) Saylor, Matthew (Halie) Saylor, Jared (Kelsey) Saylor, Brianna (Tyler) Swigert, Jordan Saylor, Connor Saylor, Kyleigh Gallwitz and Kyle Gallwitz; 10 great grandchildren as well as sister, Grace Gordon.

Calling hours will be at The Miller Funeral Home on Friday, April 5, 2024 from 10am to 11am. The funeral service will begin at 11am with Pastor John Armstong officiating. Burial will follow at Fairfield Cemetery in West Lafayette.
