Betty Jane Schlarb, 78, of West Lafayette, passed away on Friday January 10, 2014.
Betty was born in Coshocton on September 10, 1935 to the late Marion and Ida Firster. She owned and operated Carriage House Antiques in Roscoe Village for many years, was a member of Isletta United Methodist Church, enjoyed collecting antiques, doing needlepoint, crafts and spending time with her family.
Betty is survived by her two sons William D. (Carolyn) Schlarb of Norwich and Steven R. (Kimberly) Schlarb of West Lafayette; a sister Sandra (Edward) Kennedy of Kimbolton; grandchildren Nicholas (Lindsey) Schlarb, Maren Schlarb, Erica Schlarb, Christopher Schlarb and Rachel Schlarb; two nephews Dustin Kennedy and Joshua (Brittany) Kennedy.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Clarence R. Schlarb who she married May 4, 1956.
Friends may call at The Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main St., Coshocton on Monday January 13, 2014 from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday at 11:00 AM with Pastor Kathy Powers officiating. Interment will follow in Coshocton County Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
