Bonnie Lou (Unterzuber-Nelson) Ankrum

April 17, 1920 — September 5, 2022

Bonnie Ankrum daughter of Louis and Myrtle (Gates) Unterzuber, was an amazing woman of God. Throughout her 102 years, she exemplified an unselfish life and was a very generous woman in so many ways. Bonnie cared for several family members who struggled with serious illnesses. During the holidays she and her husband Homer R. Nelson (July 1918-April 3,1982) would anonymously provide for needy families in the community.  She and Homer owned and operated a convenience store in Adams Mills before there were convenience stores.  Bonnie was preceded into heaven by her three sisters Violet Turner, Emma Finley and Goldie Allen. Bonnie was a founding member of the Solid Rock Foursquare Church in Coshocton. Bonnie and Homer were married for 40 years. In November 1988 Bonnie married her second husband, Walter Raymond Ankrum (May 5, 1920-December 3, 2005). Bonnie has three sons: Robert L. (Carol) Nelson, Thomas L. (Irva) Nelson, Pastor Gary L. (Rebecca) Nelson; Grandchildren: Janette L. (Lyle) McCullough, Thomas L. Nelson II, Mark A. (Lynn) Nelson, Robert L. (Angela) Nelson Jr., Katherine N. (John) Reed, Amy J. (Ernie) Fry, Lyndi W. (Douglas) Buckley, Bethany R. Nelson; Great Grandchildren: Lindsay (Daniel) McCullough, Tyler (Taylor) McCullough, Zoe Pappas, Emma Reed, Aidan Buckley, Phoebe Pappas, Dillon Reed, Chase Nelson (Az.), Hanna Nelson, Mitchell Nelson, Sydney (Jeffry) Anderson, Logan Fry, Elliott and Lincoln Buckley; Great-Great Grandchild: Brooks McCullough as well as  many loving nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received on Friday September 9, 2022, from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM where the funeral service for Bonnie will begin at 12:00 PM Noon. The service will be officiated by Pastors Larry & Cindy Massie at The Miller Funeral Home, 636 Main St., Coshocton, 43812. Interment will follow in Fairfield Cemetery, West Lafayette.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the Solid Rock Four Square Church, 46160 County Rd. 55, Coshocton, Ohio 43812; envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
