Brian Reiss

July 6, 1960 — January 5, 2023

Brian L. Reiss, age 62, of Coshocton passed away on Thursday, January 5, 2023, at his home with his loving and devoted family by his side. Brian was born on July 6, 1960, to the late Robert A. Reiss and Juanita A. (Ridenbaugh) Reiss, who survives.  He married the love of his life, Amy (McNichols) Reiss, on June 26, 1982.  Brian graduated from River View High School in 1978 and went on to work at AK Steel and later Greer Steel, where he finished out his career as Plant Manager with a team he admired and friendships he valued.

Brian was a dedicated husband, father, and pappy who loved spending time with his family and working on the Reiss cattle farm with his wife and dog Boo. He strived in life to be a positive mentor and to help develop people to reach their full potential. He believed in leaving things better than how he found them and living life with no regrets.

Brian is survived by his wife Amy; daughters Tiffany (Dustin) Gregory, Brianne (Kelsey) Reiss, and Molly (Nathan) Modesitt, all of Coshocton; honorary daughter, Ashley (John) Tritschler of Pittsburgh; beloved grandchildren Dustin, Aria, and Adelaide Gregory, Nora West, Holden Reiss, and Theo Modesitt; mother Juanita Reiss of Coshocton; sisters, Terri (Jim) Harris and Robin (Jim) Glasure and sister-in-law, Laura (Gregory) Reiss.

He is preceded in death by his father Robert A. Reiss; brother, Gregory A. Reiss and father-in-law, Thomas J. (Marilyn) McNichols.

Brian was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
