Carl R Brewer

July 17, 1942 — July 10, 2013

Carl R. Brewer, age 70, passed away peacefully at Autumn ECF on July 10th, 2013 after a long battle with cancer. He was born in Omar, West Virginia July 17, 1942 to the late Robert and Bessie (Runyon) Brewer. He resided most of his life in the Cleveland/Mentor area.

Carl served 2 years in the army in 1964. He was a lifelong over the road truck driver retiring from Coshocton Trucking in 2009. He was a member of the local Coshocton Eagles. He enjoyed fishing, country music, family cook outs, and playing cards. He will be greatly missed by many family and friends.

He is survived by a son Carl Brewer Jr. and daughter Roseanna (Lorin) Reyzek both of Coshocton, son Tony Brewer of Toledo, OH and son Jeff Brewer of Mentor, OH; step son Harold Workman and step daughter Paula Tracy both of Coshocton; grandchildren include John Ellis Jr. and Joseph Brewer of Logan, WV and Travis Brewer of Columbus, OH. Also surviving are brothers David (Mary) Brewer and Frank (Nancy) Brewer both of Proctorville, OH, Walter (Donnie) Brewer of Gallipolis, OH and Thuerl (Bea) Brewer of CA. In addition, he remained friends with his ex-wife Bonnie and her husband Robbie Bailey. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Four great grandchildren survive including his special great granddaughter Peyton JoEllen Brewer.

Preceding him in death was a daughter Tammy Jean Brewer, brothers Johnny Brewer, Robert Brewer, Bruce Hall, and sisters Betty Walker and Bertha (Hall) Morris.

Friends may call at The Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main St., Coshocton on Saturday July 13, 2013 from 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM where funeral services will begin at 3:00 PM with Pastor Paul Schwab officiating. A cremation will take place after funeral services. Memorial contributions may be directed to Health Services of Coshocton County "Hospice", envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
