Carol Lorena (Hummell) Bierly

Carol Lorena Bierly,69, of New Philadelphia passed away Thursday, January 24, 2019 at Union Hospital in Dover, Ohio.  She was born in Coshocton on October 6, 1949 to the late William and Stella (Carsey) Hummell.

Carol was a graduate of John Glenn High School and the Buckeye Career Center in 2013. She previously worked for Coshocton Foods and Echoing Hills before retiring from Ansell Edmont after more than 30 years.  She was a member of the Sacred Heart Church and she was a Notary Public. Carol loved fishing, camping, and being outdoors. She enjoyed watching T.V., playing games and eating pizza with her grandchildren. She also loved her two dogs Patch and Buddha.

She is survived by her daughter Corena (Ken) Logan of New Philadelphia; adoptive daughters Varonica (Randy) Jennings and Valerie (Larry) Dawson both of Coshocton; siblings Patricia (Kenneth) Poorman and Walter (Joyce) Hummell both of Coshocton; grandchildren Kenny, Chesney, and Chelsey Logan; adoptive grandchildren Amy and Aaron Hagans, Ashley (Darren) Jacobs, Ryan Anderson, and Stephani (Heather) Anderson; seven great grandchildren; sister-in-law Linda Hummell – Rochester; and several nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her brother Jim Hummell and Special friend Diana Dolick.

Friends may call at the Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main St. Coshocton, Ohio 43812 on Monday, January 28, 2019 from 5:00pm- 7:00pm and one hour prior to the funeral service.  Funeral services for Carol will be Tuesday at 11:00am with Pastor Mark Granger officiating.  Burial will follow at Franklin Cemetery.
