Charles Russell Bridges, 86, went to join his wife for eternity on November 10, 2020. He was born on April 16, 1934 in Coshocton. He was the son of Roy Wilmer and Gladys (Kinner) Bridges. On December 17, 1962, he married Mary Lou Rhinehart whom preceded him in death on December 5, 2019.
Surviving are four children, five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Debra (Ron) Nicely of Stone Creek, Russell (Linda) Bridges of Newcomerstown, Nora (Bridges) White of Coshocton and Rocky Bridges of West Lafayette; grandchildren Jarrod (Kristin) Williams of Clarksville, TN and sons Joseph and Jackson; Elizabeth (Brayton) White of Coshocton and daughters Embrlynn and Braylee; John Andrew Bridges of Newcomerstown and son Jonathan, Andrew and Anna Jo; Amanda (Jeremey) Bridges of Coshocton and sons Haven, Conner and Morgan; Dan (Samantha) Bridges of Newcomerstown and daughters Eliyza and Khaleesi.
Charles “Bud” Bridges was the youngest of eight siblings, sisters Frances Brink, Jean Durbin, Evelyn Krasky, Helen Freetage Morgan (who survives) of Midvale, OH and Audrey Simmons, brothers Paul and Wilmer.
He was an avid golfer, enjoyed fishing, going to Wheeling and spending time with his family. Bud also leaves behind his companion cat “Weeney.”

Friends may call at The Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main St., Coshocton on Friday November 13, 2020 from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM. Graveside funeral services will follow in Fairfield Cemetery, West Lafayette at 1:30 PM with Pastor Dan Eggan officiating and Coshocton County Veterans Honor Guard performing military honors.
Due to COVID-19, visitors coming to the funeral home are required to wear their own masks and we will be limiting the number of people inside the building.
Memorial contributions may be directed to Community Hospice, 716 Commercial Ave SW, New Philadelphia, Ohio 44663; envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
