Cheryl Kay Barnett

February 24, 1948 — January 1, 2024

Cheryl Kay Barnett, 75, of Coshocton passed away Monday, January 1, 2024 at Altercare Nursing and Rehabilitation of Coshocton.  She was born in Coshocton on February 24, 1948 to the late William “Joe Who” and Lucille (Murphy) Aronhalt.

Cheryl was a graduate of Coshocton High School and worked at Clary’s Florist and the Coshocton Auditors office for 9 years. She enjoyed working in the yard and mowing alongside her husband, Elmer. She also enjoyed her “Sister Trips” to the casino.

Cheryl is survived by her husband of 54 years, Elmer Barnett; children Erik (Rachel) Barnett of Coshocton and Tracy (Troy) Holland of Lewis Center; grandchildren Taylor and Tanner Holland and Andrea and Shelby Barnett; and her sisters Cathy (Bob) Besser and Karen (Steve) Slaughter.

Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her sister Jeanne Henson.

Calling hours will be held at the Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main St., Coshocton, OH 43812 on Thursday, January 4, 2024 from 11:00am – 1:00pm with funeral services beginning at 1:00pm with Pastor Mark Granger officiating.  Burial will follow at South Lawn Cemetery.

Memorial contributions can be directed towards Akron’s Childrens Hospital, in honor of Austin Finley; envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
