Christy Lynn Parsons

Christy Lynn Parsons, age 61, passed away on Friday, March 31, 2023 with her family by her side. She was born on June 22, 1961 in Coshocton, Ohio to Thomas and Marlene (Meneely) Colburn, who survive. On November 10, 1979, she married Mike Parsons, who also survives. In Christy’s earlier career, she worked at JII and also ran a cleaning service. Recently, she owned and operated The Rusty Olde Crow with her daughter Kendra. She enjoyed going hunting for all the treasured they displayed in the store. She also loved to gamble and go bowling. More than anything, she loved spending time with her family, grandchildren and friends.

Along with her parents and husband, she is survived by her children, Bryan (Katie) Parsons of West Lafayette and Kendra (Joseph Burtnett) Parsons of Coshocton; grandchildren, Cohen, Blake and Lucas Parsons and Zander Burtnett; sister, Deanna (Richard) Murray; mother-in-law, Mickey Rose McKay and sister-in-law, Dawn (Mike Mears) Warner.

She is preceded in death by her siblings, Greg Colburn and Cynthia Shoemaker and sister and brother-in-law, Toni and Terry Parsons.

Calling hours will be at The Miller Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 5, 2023 from 5pm to 7pm.

A cremation will take place with the Miller-Kaser Cremation Services.
