Cindy Smith

Cindy Louise Smith (Fortney) went home to be with the Lord on January 31, 2024.

She was born June 17, 1957 the late Dennis and Julia (Weldon) Fortney. She was a graduate of
Riverview Highschool, and a member of the Chestnut Street Church of Christ.

Cindy filled many different roles throughout her life, but by far her favorite one was being a grandmother. She was a kind and compassionate woman, always giving and helping others as she was able.

Surviving are her children, Shawn Kinney, and Autumn (Caleb) Love; two grandchildren who were her absolute pride and joy; three sisters, Jane Fitzpatrick, Brenda (Dale) Caley, and Darla (Walt) Harding as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five brothers, Norman, Floyd, Charles (Lynn), Dennis Jr. (Julie), Ron (Carmen) Fortney and two sisters, Reta West and Betsy (Jim) Mercer.

Services will be at the Church of Christ on 1800 Chestnut Street, Coshocton, Ohio on Saturday, February 3, 2024 from 11am to 1pm. The funeral service will begin at 1pm with Pastor Jordan Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Franklin Cemetery.
