C. Joann Guthrie

January 1, 1931 — March 15, 2015

C. Joann (Courtright) Guthrie, age 84 went on to be with the Lord on March 15, 2015.  She passed peacefully at Autumn Healthcare with her family by her side.

Joann joins those who went on to heaven before her; husband Jack, November 1979; parents Jay and Dorothy, two grandsons Joshua and Guthrie West and her faithful furry companions, Oscar Poo and Fluffy the cat.

She was born in Conesville, Ohio on New Year’s Day in 1931 and graduated from Conesville High School in 1949.  She was a member of the Conesville United Methodist Church.
Joann enjoyed living, traveling and working in Arizona, Nebraska, California, North Carolina and Florida. She loved to laugh, play games and share stories with friends and family.  She leaves behind a beautiful legacy, her bright eyes and beautiful smile will be deeply missed by her surviving family; son Tom (Carol) Guthrie, daughter Susan (Tracy) Dobbins; grandchildren Chandra (Lyle) Gilbertson, Jack (Paula) Guthrie, Jay West (Erin Romine) and great-grandchildren Jordan and Kaylee Bollmann, Nicholaus, Joshua and Gavin Guthrie.  She is also survived by her two sisters Betty Allen and Marilyn Dawson and several nieces and nephews.

Joann had many friends across the country and will be missed dearly.

Graveside services will be held at Coshocton County Memory Gardens on Friday March 20, 2015 at 1:00 PM with Pastor Phil and Karen Gibson officiating, remains will be laid to rest next to her husband, Jack.

In lieu of flowers, Joann’s wishes were to have contributions made to Hospice of Coshocton County, Four Paws Animal Rescue, Coshocton County Animal Shelter or Conesville United Methodist Church.
