Cletus D. Hoffman, 71, of Coshocton passed away at his residence on Saturday August 6, 2016. Cletus was born in Coshocton on July 27, 1945 to Charles and Velma (Hart) Hoffman.
He graduated from West Lafayette High School and attended Kent State University. Cletus had retired from Novelty Advertising after thirty-eight years of service and was a longtime member of the Coshocton Church of the Nazarene. He was true to his faith and was very active in his church. He enjoyed all types of sports, mushroom hunting and he enjoyed his many canine companions over the years. Most of all, Cletus was devoted to the Lord, cherished his family, especially his grandchildren.
Cletus is survived by his devoted wife Betty (Cunningham) Hoffman whom he married on July 1, 1978; a daughter Angela (Mike) Harper of Conesville; son Charles (Jana) Hoffman of Smyrna, GA; five grandchildren Mason, Maelynn and Mavrik Harper, Carson and Timothy Hoffman; his mother Velma Hoffman of Coshocton; a brother Carl (Diane) Hoffman of Annandale, VA; three sisters Caroline (Jim) Stitt of Evansville, IN, Jean (Larry) Infield of Warsaw and Polly (Terry) Stimmel of Aiken, SC; several nieces and nephews.
Cletus is preceded in death by his father Charles Hoffman and a granddaughter Maggie Hoffman.
Friends may call at The Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main St., Coshocton on Tuesday August 9, 2016 from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the church. Funeral services for Cletus will be held at the Coshocton Church of the Nazarene, 1058 Orange St., Coshocton on Wednesday at 11:00 AM with Pastor David Boots officiating. Interment will follow in Fairfield Cemetery, West Lafayette. Memorial contributions may be made to the Nazarene Compassionate Ministries; envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
