Curtis D. Wright, 49, of Coshocton went home to the arms of his Savior when he lost his battle with cancer at his home on Sunday morning August 14, 2011. Curtis was born in Coshocton on October 28, 1961. He had a love for engines and started repairing them when he was 14 years old. He attended Hocking Hills Tech and continued his education attending seminars in other states to keep up on his skills with small engines. He also worked under his uncle Ray Sibert of Florida where he learned how to repair Dixie Choppers. Curtis owned and operated Wrights Small Engine in Coshocton. He also enjoyed camping, auto racing and reading anything about engines. Survived by his parents Margie (Dick) Scherer, Dale (Dixie) Wright both of Coshocton; brothers Clint (Elizabeth) Wright of Zanesville and Craig (Diane) Scherer of Gnadenhutton; four sisters Carla (Chuck) Baumer, Charee (Brian) Noe, Cherlyn (Matt) Leppla all of Coshocton and Cris (Shawn) Ramsey of Urbana; grandmother Florence Sibert Foglesong of Coshocton; several step brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his grandmother Eileen Wright Norris, two grandfathers Dale E. Wright and Raymond J. Sibert; two step grandfathers Wm. Foglesong and Daniel L. Norris. Friends may call at the Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main St., Coshocton on Thursday August 18, 2011 from 10-12 PM where funeral services will begin at noon with Pastor Ralph Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in Coshocton County Memory Gardens. Memorial contributions may be directed to Health Services of Coshocton County, envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
