David L Swigert

David L. Swigert, 46, of Coshocton passed away on September 25, 2021 at the Coshocton County Regional Medical Center. David was born in Coshocton on February 6, 1975 to Alvin T. and Debra A. (Asire) Art, who survive. He had a bachelor’s degree in mathematics, working as a math teacher at Meadowbrook High School. Prior to teaching, he worked at Pretty Products as he worked his way through college.

David is survived by his adoptive parents, Jeff (Vanessa) Swigert; son, Zachary and step-daughter, Jessalyn; siblings, Joe (Michelle) Fitch, Eric (Sasha) Fitch, Jade (Chip) Mercer, Mark (Kathy) Art, Brittney Brenly, Shyanne Tabeling and Tyler (Brianna) Swigert; special cousin, Sheldon (Tammy) Mencer as well as numerous, aunt, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Janice Asire; uncle, Ricky Asire; grandmother, Florence Fitch and grandfather, C. Leroy Fitch.

Calling hours will be at the Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main Street, Coshocton on Saturday, October 2, 2021 from 11am to 12pm. The funeral service will begin at the funeral home at 12pm with Pastor Sharon Krich and Sheldon Mencer officiating. A cremation will follow the services.
