Life Legacy
Harold "Dean" Maple, 74, of West Lafayette, passed away at his home on Friday July 20, 2012. Dean was born in Birds Run, Coshocton County on July 22, 1937 to the late Jesse and Carrie (Freetage) Maple.
He was a heavy equipment operator throughout most of his life, working and retiring from Stone Container/RockTen in Coshocton. Dean is a Past President of the Local Union #544 Operating Engineers, he was very passionate for his union, being a Democrat and he loved Ford's automobiles.
He is survived by his son Josh Dean (Patty) Maple of West Lafayette; five brothers Nathan (Carol) Maple, Bernard (Faye) Maple, Sam (Linda) Maple, Jesse (Cheryl) Maple and William (Mel) Maple all of West Lafayette; one sister Myrtle (Bob) Hardy of Coshocton; numerous nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Beverly Ann (Abbott) Maple and a sister Maxine Dotson.
Friends may call at The Miller Funeral Home, Coshocton on Sunday July 22, 2012 from 2-5 PM. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11:00 AM with Pastor Steve Young officiating. Interment will follow in Fairfield Cemetery, West Lafayette. Memorial contributions may be directed to Health Services of Coshocton County/Hospice, envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
