Derik R. Smith, 27, of West Lafayette passed away unexpectantly Tuesday June 7, 2016 at the Coshocton County Memorial Hospital. He was born in Coshocton on February 11, 1989.
Derik worked at Fanatics, loved soccer, skateboarding and playing video games.
Derik is survived by his mother, Wendy (Todd) Schumaker; brothers Shane Erman, Beau (Danielle Scheetz) Richesson, Seth Richesson, Cory Richesson, and Josh Schumaker; sisters Katie and Makenzie Schumaker; grandparents Ralph and Penny Smith; great grandmother Glenna Swaugor and Louise Linkous; step grandparents Jim (Wendy) Schumaker; uncle Chad (Leigha) Schumaker; nephew Devon Erman; cousin Jackson Smith; several aunts and uncles.
He is preceded in death by his great grandparents Fred Smith and George Swaugor; step great grandfather Paris Linkous, and uncle Eric Smith.
Friends may call at The Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main St., Coshocton on Friday June 10, 2016 from 4:00PM – 7:00PM with funeral services beginning at 7:00 with Rev. Ric Bonice officiating.
