Donis Pope

Donis Pope, 84, of Coshocton passed away Monday, December 7, 2020 at his home.  He was born in Coshocton County on January 1, 1936 to the late Howard and Ana (Hoffman) Pope.

Donis aka “Rab” graduated from Roscoe High School in 1954 and served in the Army Reserves. He was a lifelong farmer and worked at Clows 30+ years before retiring. He loved NASCAR and was a big Dale Earnhardt fan. He also enjoyed tractor pulling. In his retirement years he loved cruising around the county back roads sightseeing, visiting friends and grabbing an ice cream cone. Donis was a loving husband, father and grandfather; he absolutely loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren, they were the light of his life.

Donis is survived by his wife of 61 years, Joyce (Florence) Pope; daughters Janel (Gene) Mullett, Jody Pope (fiance Jeff Mizer), Grandchildren Stephanie Hoffman, Seth (Britney) Mullett, Jordon (Macee) Mullett. Brandon Cox (Heather Maxwell), Austin Wilson, Brooke Wilson. Great Grandchildren Audrey & Kinsley Hoffman, Kabe Bylaw, Ava & Owen Mullett; and several nieces and nephews.

Along with is parents he is preceded in death by his infant twin daughters; siblings Margaret (Glenn) Adams, Joyce (Gene) Guthrie, Gladys (Robert) Ogle, Gene Pope, Reva Jones, and an infant brother.

The family would like to thank Interim Hospice for their kindness and compassion throughout this process.

Per Don’s wishes there will be no services at this time and a cremation will take place.
