Doris Smith, 79, of Coshocton passed away on February 9, 2024 at the Morrison Hospice House. She was born on August 22, 1944 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Harley and Mildred (Lockwood) Fuller. On December 4, 1965, she married John Smith, who survives. She retired from the Coshocton Hospital after almost 40 years where she worked in housekeeping. Doris was a grandmother to 5 boys and loved spending time with them. She was a season pass holder and never missed her grandchildren’s events. She enjoyed bingo and watching the game show network. She was outgoing and enjoyed being busy. She loved her furry companion, Harley who passed away in 2019.
Along with her husband, she is survived by her children, Angie (Todd) Taylor of Coshocton and Roger (Angie) Smith of West Lafayette; grandchildren, Alex (Rebecca) Taylor, Erik Taylor, Logan (Michelle) Smith, Landon (Racheal) Smith and Kaden (Paige Slusser) Smith; great-grandchildren, Baylee, Colbie, Carter, Tyson, Boston, and Parker; brothers, Lloyd Fuller and Kenneth (Marilyn) Fuller.
She is preceded in death by her granddaughter, Erin Taylor; sisters, Mary Smith, Rose Jones and twin sister, Delores Blair; brothers, Myron and Dale Fuller as well as sister-in-law, Carol Fuller.
Calling hours will be at The Miller Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 13, 2024 from 4pm to 6pm and an hour before the service. The funeral service will be on Wednesday, February 14, 2024 at 11am with Pastor Lloyd Tenney officiating. Burial will follow at Franklin Cemetery.
