Douglas “Doug” Watson, 54, of New Concord passed away at his home on Friday August 29, 2014.
He was born in Coshocton on September 27, 1959 to the late Asa and Freda (Bundy) Watson Sr.
Doug worked as a certified Mechanic and truck driver for most of his life. He enjoyed racing stock cars, watching NASCAR and spending time with his grandchildren.
Doug is survived by his wife Candace (Armstrong) Watson, whome he married in Huntington, WV on October 14, 1979; son Shawn (Sarah) Armstrong; daughters Kelly (Luke McGarvey) Watson and Shannon (Cody) Rothenstein; grandchildren Alana Dansby, Taylor Watson, Peyton McGarvey, Alissa Casteel, Kylee Casteel, Ethan Casteel, Dirk Rothenstein, Devin Armstrong, Hayley Knepper, Kaitlyn Armstrong, and Joscelyne Orr; 2 great-grandchildren; nephews John Thomas Watson Jr. and Jason Leroy Watson; Niece Rebecca Watson.
Along with his parents Doug is preceded in death by his brothers John Watson Sr. and David Watson.
A memorial service for Doug will be held at Otsego United Methodist Church, New Concord, OH on Friday September 5, 2014 at 3:00 PM.
