Edna E Shaw

Edna E. Shaw, 83, of West Lafayette passed away Sunday, November 1, 2020 at her daughters’ home.  She was born in Coshocton, Ohio on July 19, 1937 to the late Simon L. and Hazel (Phillabaum) Burkey.

Edna Worked as a home health aid up until she was 82 years old and was unable to work anymore. She was a member of the West Lafayette Church of the Nazarene; she enjoyed playing cards, putting puzzles together and doing puzzle books.

Edna is survived by her husband, Walter Shaw; children Debra Hooper, Carol Swaney, Kay Shaw, Mike (Yolanda) Shaw, Donna Shaw, and Walt (Suzanne) Shaw; 12 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; brothers Russell, Cecil (Rose), and Vernon (Jean) Burkey; sisters Donna Felton, Mary Burkey, and Sandy Banks.

Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her brothers Bill and Kenneth Burkey; and Valjean Shaw.

Per Edna’s wishes a cremation will take place and there will be no public services.
