Edward Eugene Davis, 75, of Coshocton passed away at Coshocton County Memorial Hospital on Sunday July 28, 2013.

Ed was born in Marion, Ohio on August 3, 1937 to the late Emery and Betty (Koupe) Davis. He had worked at Shaw Barton, Jones Zylon in West Lafayette where he was also a Union President and he retired from Stone Container Rock Ten in Coshocton.

In his earlier years, Ed enjoyed spending time fishing, in his later years he enjoyed cooking. He would make all kinds of foods to give away to family and friends, he would also make cookies that he would drop off to folks at Ridgewood School and his friends at the Eagles and Moose Lodges. He was a member of Coshocton Moose, Eagles, V.F.W. and attended the First Baptist Church of West Lafayette.

Ed is survived by his two children Rick (Gwynn) Davis of Zanesville; daughter Susan (Mark) Zinkon of West Lafayette; five grandchildren Taylor and Ryan Zinkon, Stephanie (Brian) Harrier, Kelly and Katherine Davis; brothers Eric Davis, Dean Davis; sisters Bea George and Ruth Moore; brother in law Gary Foster of PA; several nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Dorothy M. (Foster) Davis to whom he married May 1, 1964; three brothers Dick, Sam and Denny Davis; a sister Mabel Patterson.

Friends may call at The Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main St., Coshocton on Thursday August 1, 2013 from 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM where funeral services will begin at 11:00 AM with Pastor David Kraft officiating. Interment will follow in Fairfield Cemetery, West Lafayette, Ohio.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the First Baptist Church of West Lafayette, envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
