Edwin E. Swayer

Edwin E. "Ed" Swayer, 91, of West Lafayette, passed away at Aultman Hospital in Canton on Wednesday June 13, 2012. Ed was born in Ashville, Ohio to the late Herbert and Clara Swayer on April 10, 1921. He served in the Army Air Corp during WWII and retired from the Conesville Power Plant. Ed was a 64 year member of the Masonic Lodge, also a member of the Grange and the West Lafayette United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife Ruth E. Swayer; daughter Sharon (Richard) Bluck of West Lafayette; son Bryon (Becky) Swayer of Ocean Isle Beach, NC; a brother Ralph (Dolores) Swayer of Pickerington; grandchildren Chris (Meg) Swayer of Stow, Jennifer (Carey) Fry of Coshocton, Amanda (Dave) Kirby of New Concord and Samantha (John) Williams of Akron; six great grandchildren. Friends may call at The Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main St., Coshocton on Saturday June 16, 2012 from 2-4 PM with Masonic services beginning at 4:00 PM. Funeral services for Ed will be held at the funeral home on Sunday at 2:00 PM with Pastor Eric Miller officiating. Interment will follow in Fairfield Cemetery where Coshocton County Veterans Council will perform military honors.
