Elizabeth M. Young, 74, of Coshocton passed away at Majora Lane Care Center in Millersburg on Saturday October 5, 2024.
Liz was born in Coshocton on December 18, 1949, to the late Raymond J. & Kathleen May (Young) McIntyre. She graduated from River View High School in 1968 and retired from Kraft Foods in Coshocton after many years as a security guard. She was a life member and waitress for VFW 1330. She was a long-time member of Solid Rock Four Square Church and New Life Ministries. In retirement, Liz and her late husband Ralph started and owned The Bookcase Coffee House in Coshocton. She loved to bake, crochet and playing games with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her children Ralph (Kelly) Young Jr. of West Lafayette, Jay Young of Oak Harbor, WA, Michael Young of Coshocton, Brian Young of Scottsdale AZ, Brad (Paula) Young of Coshocton and Frances (Troy) Burch of Dexter City; twelve grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; sister Jeanne Watkins of Coshocton; two brothers Raymond C. (Cindy) McIntyre of Canal Lewisville and Edward L. McIntyre of Coshocton; several nieces and nephews including William McIntyre who held a special place in her family and Scott and Jennifer Young who care for her in the last years of her life.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Ralph L. Young Sr who passed away on May 1, 2021; her son Bruce Jon Young; one grandson David Rusnak; and a sister Anne Kathleen Houghland.
Friends may call at The Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main St., Coshocton on Sunday October 13, 2024 from 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM where a memorial service will begin at 3:00 PM with Pastor Wayne Pessia officiating. Liz's family will have cards alongside the register book for those who would like to share a memory of Liz. Interment of Liz's cremated remains will take place privately in the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Seville, Ohio at a later date.
