Eric James Sellers, 45, died suddenly on Sunday, Feb. 19, 2023, at home.

He was born Oct. 2, 1977, in Coshocton, to Karen Brandon Ames and Dave Sellers.

Eric graduated from Newcomerstown High School in 1996. On Oct. 21, 2012, he married Josie McCormick Sellers.

Eric loved the outdoors, mowing, genealogy, 80s rock music, and teasing his wife about her not being an Ohio State fan, but most of all he loved his daughters Sophia and Sawyer Sellers.

In addition to his wife and daughters, he is survived by his mother and stepfather, Karen and Edward Ames; father and stepmother, David and Beth Sellers; brother, Nate (Allison) Sellers; several nieces and nephews; his grandfather, James Brandon; mother-in-law, Patty McCormick; and brother-in-law, Michael McCormick.

He was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Juanita Brandon and Esther Sellers; grandfather, Charles Sellers; father-in-law David McCormick; and his stepsister, Tiffany Campbell.

Calling hours will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 25, at the Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main St., Coshocton. A funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. with Pastor Mike Jansen officiating. Burial will then take place at Peoples Community Church, 17483 Peoples Church Road, Newcomerstown.
