Biography

Eric Ryan Smith, age 40 of Coshocton, OH passed away Sunday, March 25, 2012 as a result of an automobile accident. He was born May 15, 1971 in East Liverpool, OH the son of Ralph B. and Penny S. Smith of Coshocton.

Eric was employed at Best Heating and Cooling in West Lafayette, OH. He was a 1989 Graduate of Ridgewood High School, a member of the Plainfield Lodge #224 F & AM in Plainfield and the president of the VIP Golf League at Hickory Flats Golf Course. He enjoyed hunting, golfing and most of all spending time with his son as a loving and devoted father.

He is preceded in death by his Maternal Grandfather George Swaugor.

In addition to his parents he was loved and will be missed by his family, Son Jackson Ryan Smith of the home; Sister Wendy Smith of West Lafayette; 2 Nephews Derik Smith and Shane Erman of West Lafayette; Maternal Grandmother Glenna Swaugor of East Liverpool; Paternal Grandfather Fred Smith of East Liverpool; Paternal Grandmother Louise (Paris) Linkous of Wellsville, OH. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Friends will be received Wednesday March 28, 2012 from 4 to 8 PM at Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main Street, Coshocton, OH 43812, with Masonic Services Conducted by Plainfield Lodge #224 F & AM at 7:30 PM. A Funeral Service will be held Thursday March 29, 2012 at 10:00 AM in the Miller Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Don Lain Officiating. Burial will follow in the Plainfield Cemetery in Plainfield. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to an account set up for his son Jackson at the Home Loan and Savings Bank, 413 Main Street, Coshocton, OH 43812.
