Fannie L. "Betsy" (Meadows) Lewellen

August 23, 1927 — January 2, 2020

Fannie L. “Betsy” Lewellen, 92, of Coshocton passed away at Altercare of Coshocton on Thursday January 2, 2020.

Betsy was born in Elkton, Virginia on August 23, 1927 to the late Ernest and Ardelia (Burker) Meadows.  She was a homemaker throughout her life and loved spending time with her family and friends.  Betsy also worked at Gerber Baby Wear in Three Oaks, Michigan, enjoyed quilting, canning and was an avid animal lover.

She is survived by her children Larry Lewellen of Three Oaks, MI, Betty (Paul) Ramsour of Coshocton, Sue Kaiser of Auburn, IN and Veda (Ronnie) DeFreez of Galine, MI; nine grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Hobart Lewellen; three brothers Willie, Marvin and Leon Meadows; two sisters Gracie Constantine and Gernie Sours .

A memorial service for Betsy will be held at The Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main St., Coshocton on Saturday January 4, 2020 at 3:00 PM with Pastor Sonny Easterday officiating.  Burial of her cremated remains will take place at a later date in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Three Oaks, Michigan.

Memorial contributions may be directed to Coshocton County Animal Shelter, 21755 TR 164, Coshocton, Ohio  43812; envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
