Fern M. Sheffield passed away peacefully on February 27th, 2018 at the Altracare Rehabilitation Center in Zanesville, Ohio.
She was born October 31st, 1931 in Tuscarawas County to Wilma (Bundy) Hardesty. Fern attended Fresno High School and graduated in 1950.
Fern cherished time spent with her family and her loving husband Maurice.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Maurice Leon Sheffield, her faithful companion and partner in life. She is also survived by her sister, Christine Hardesty Stotts, daughter Jackie (McKee) Cushman of Coshocton, son Scott Edward McKee of Keene, grandchildren Lana (Kevin Whaley) Cushman, Alyssa (Ryan) Haines, Megan McKee, Austin McKee, Tanner McKee, and great-grandson Knox Haines.
She was preceded in death by her mother Wilma Bundy Hardesty, stepfather William Hardesty, brothers William, Max, and Edward Hardesty, sisters Florence Horn, Letha Sampsel, and Irene Wears.
By Fern’s request, there will be no calling hours.
A memorial service will be held at the Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main St., Coshocton, Ohio on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at 3:00pm with Deacon Doug Mould officiating. Private burial will take place Coshocton County Memory Gardens at a later date.
