Francis J.R. Clark

Francis "J.R." Clark Jr., 86, of Coshocton passed away at Autumn Health Care Center on Saturday September 17, 2011. J.R. was born to the late Francis and Fern Elsie (Tarman) Clark Sr. in Coshocton on May 19, 1925. He graduated from Coshocton High School in 1943, after high school he joined the U.S. Navy serving during WWII. J.R. retired after 44 years of service with Pretty Products in Coshocton. He was a member of the Park Ave United Methodist Church, loved volunteering for the Red Cross Blood Mobile and for the Coshocton County Fair. On July 1, 1967 he married Lucille M. (Wolfe) Clark who survives. Also, surviving are his children Vicki (Charles) Dawson and Debbie (Chris) Bickle both of Coshocton; step children Mark (Cheri) McCullough and Vicki McCullough both of Coshocton; seven grandchildren Tina (Dana) Smith of New Concord, Kathryn Hendrieth of Coshocton, Charles Dawson Jr. of Groveport, Chris (Ann) Bickle Jr. and David Bickle both of Fresno, Kerrie (Stephen) Richardson of Harrisburg, PA and Kevin McCullough of Coshocton; eleven great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; one brother Robert (Martha) Clark of Coshocton; three sisters Opal Fisher, Delores "Pinky" Cox and Norma Ruby all of Coshocton; several nieces and nephews. Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his brother Harold "Whitey" Clark. Friends may call at The Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main St., Coshocton on Monday September 19, 2011 from 6-8 PM. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 2:00 PM at the funeral home with Rev. James McDonald officiating. Interment will follow in Coshocton County Memory Gardens where the Coshocton County Veterans Honor Guard will perform military honors.
