Gary Beryle Ashcraft

Gary Beryle Ashcraft, 77, of Coshocton passed away on Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at Altercare of Coshocton. He was born on June 9, 1944 in Dresden, Ohio to the late Earl and Marilee (Williams) Ashcraft.

He was a huge Ohio State Buckeyes fan. Gary loved softball, especially watching his granddaughter Jaeli play. He had a huge heart of gold and never turned anyone away, even his children’s friends always felt welcome in his home.

Gary is survived by his wife Yolanda (Noon) Ashcraft; daughters Lisa Wrye, and Jody (Dave) Smith; sons Bill (Wendy) Higley, Gary Lee (Jessica) Ashcraft, Mike Ashcraft, and Tony (Tabitha) Ashcraft; siblings Karen Shirtsinger, Ronald Ashcraft, Phyllis Jacobs, and Judy Groves; as well as numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter Stephanie (Higley) Tarman; step-father Aca Williams; brother James Ashcraft; sister Terri Shahan and his grandson Evan Ashcraft.

Gary gave himself as a gift to medical research by donating his body to The Ohio State University College of Medicine.  A celebration of life will be planned at a later date.
