Life Legacy
Gertrude P. Carnahan, 92, of Coshocton passed away at Coshocton County Memorial Hospital on Wednesday December 28, 2011 after a short illness. Gertrude was born in Coshocton on September 24, 1919 to the late Virgil and Audrey (Jennings) Parks. She owned and operated "Vogue Beauty Salon" in Coshocton for many years, was a member of the St. Paul's Episicipal Church. On July 19, 1941 she married William Lemoyne Carnahan who preceded her in death in 1986. Gertrude truly loved spending time with her loving family over the years. Survived by her children Cynthia A. Richcreek of Coshocton, Clinton W. (Paula) Carnahan of York, SC and Jean A. (Michael) Monnin of Pickerington; grandchildren Adam, Holly, Shane, Evan (Coree), Patrick, Clint and Jennie; great grandchildren Jerome Jr., Jaime, Will, Caitlyn, D.J., Hailey and Mika. Along with her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her sister Betty Hudson. Friends may call at The Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main St., Coshocton on Friday December 30, 2011 from 1-2 PM where funeral services will begin at 2:00 PM with Father John Jenkins officiating. Interment will follow in South Lawn Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to the American Cancer Society, envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
