Gilbert Parkhill
June 23, 1935 — May 2, 2016
Gilbert H. Parkhill Jr., 80, of Coshocton passed away Monday May 2, 2016 at his home with his loving family by his side. He was born in Canal Lewisville on June 23, 1935 to the late Gilbert and Anna (Carnahan) Parkhill Sr.
Gilbert worked for General Electric for 36 years before retiring in 1991. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, Coshocton Eagles, Keene Hill Grange, Canal Lewisville Cemetery Association, Board Member of Three Rivers Fire Department and was involved with the fire department for over 50 years.
Gilbert is survived by his wife, Doris (Sturtz) Parkhill, whom he married July 18, 1959; sons Todd (Kendra) Parkhill of Coshocton and Trent (Heather) Parkhill of West Lafayette; grandchildren Kaylie (Kyle) Knicely of North Carolina and Bryce Parkhill of Coshocton; step grandchildren Chelsey, Dakota, and Shyanna all of West Lafayette; one great grandson Zachary Knicely; sister Mary Ann Wolford of Dresden; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at The Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main St., Coshocton Thursday May 5, 2016 from 5:00 – 8:00PM. A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Friday at 10:30AM with Father Victor Wesolowski officiating. Burial will follow at Canal Lewisville Cemetery.
