Gladys T. Roadruck, age 90, of Coshocton passed away at Coshocton Springs Nursing and Rehabilitation on Friday, January 6, 2017.
Gladys was born in Brooklyn, New York on April 19, 1926 to the late Lester and Gladys (Clear) Weil.
She met her future husband, James Dallas Roadruck, while he was serving with the U. S. Army during World War II. They married on June 30, 1946 and began their life together in Coshocton. After her husband's death in 1968, Gladys worked as a nurse's aide before graduating from the Tri-County School of nursing as an L.P.N. During her nursing career, she worked several years for Dr. Smith and then at the Coshocton hospital. Following her retirement from nursing, she served as a volunteer at South Lawn Elementary school during the 1990s. A longtime member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church,
Gladys is survived by her children Mary Seidel and Kathleen (Fred) Sheldon, both of Coshocton, and William Roadruck of Columbus. In addition, she leaves behind seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, sister Dorothy VanCleve of Maryland, and several nieces and nephews. Gladys was preceded in death by husband James D. Roadruck, daughters Patricia Cheney and Eileen Roadruck, brother Tom Weil, and sisters Audrey McEwen, Alberta Harr, and Marie Weil.
A private graveside memorial service was held at Coshocton County Memorial Gardens.
