Gloria (Walker) Taylor

Gloria Taylor, age 77, passed away on Friday, May 3, 2024, at Lafayette Pointe. She was born on June 23, 1946, in Brounland, WV. to the late James Walker and Anthem (Hager) Walker, who survives. She worked as a laborer at Kurtz-Kasch for over 40 years until her retirement. On March 10, 1963, she married William “Bim” Taylor, who passed away in 2019.  She enjoyed going to Myrtle Beach on family vacations. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family including her grandchildren and great grandchildren and supporting them in their activities. She enjoyed watching racing, whether it was NASCAR or dirt bike races and reading in her free time.

She is survived by her children, Mary Elson of Coshocton, Betty (James) Howard of Canton and Son-in-law, Artie Kinder; grandchildren, Cody (Nikkie) Endlich, Ashley Jones, Josh (Ashley) Endlich, Brandon (Andi) Carpenter, James Carpenter, and Jared Howard; 12 great grandchildren and siblings, Marsha (Steve) Colo Jr., Mary Bortell and Danny Walker.

Along with her father and husband, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Debra Kinder; son-in-law, Mike Elson; brothers, Jimmy and Jerry Walker and brother-in-law, Mark Bortell.

Calling hours will be at The Miller Funeral Home on Friday, May 10, 2024, from 11am to 12pm. The funeral service will be at the funeral home on Friday, beginning at 12pm with Pastor Mike Jansen officiating. Burial will follow at Fairfield Cemetery.
