Grace B Shearn

Grace B. Shearn, 101, of Conesville passed away at Lafayette Point Nursing Home in West Lafayette on Wednesday December 5, 2012.

Grace was born in Conesville on November 25, 1911 to the late Asa and Clara (Dawson) Worthington. She graduated from Conesville High School in 1928 and worked for many years at the Conesville Elementary Cafeteria. Grace was a member of the Conesville United Methodist Church and enjoyed spending her time making lap blankets for friends and neighbors. She had made over one thousand lap blankets in her lifetime.

On March 10, 1931 she married Edward C. Shearn who passed away in 1997.

Grace is survived by her three daughters Eileen (Eugene) Evans of Conesville, Donna (Ross) Bates of West Lafayette and Marilyn (Dean) Shroyer of Conesville; grandchildren Stan (Marilyn) Bates, Pam (Keith) Matz, Ron (Candy) Bates, Todd (Terry) Shroyer, Tammy (Jon) Hardesty and Tom (Molly Roberts) Shroyer; great grandchildren Andrea, Kristan, Kate, Alyssa, Ronnie, Brent, Harmony, Amanda, Beth, Megan, Deric, Brandon, Matthew, Steven, Nic, Michael, Kevin, Mike, Chrissy, Nate and Garrett; great great grandchildren Cody, Amber, Sophie, Ava, Cooper, Gabby, Serenity and Anthony; several nieces, nephews and other family members. Along with her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her grandson Donald Bates; brother Dwight Worthington; three sisters Leora Shaw, Ellen McDonald and Blanche Duncan.

Friends may call at The Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main St., Coshocton on Friday December 7, 2012 from 1:00 PM -3:00 PM where funeral services will begin at 3:00 PM with Pastor Jeremiah Durham and Pastor Joy Blaney officiating. Interment will follow in Coshocton County Memorial Gardens.
