Harold Elwood Roahrig, age 89, of Plainfield, OH passed away Sunday Evening March 25th, 2012 at his home. He was born July 5, 1922 in Plainfield, OH a son of the late Hayden P. and Corle M. Woodward Roahrig.
Harold attended Plainfield High School and was a member of the Kimbolton Methodist Church. He was employed at Moore Enameling and then Jones Metal from 1950 to 1988. He enjoyed farming, loading gun shells, trap shooting and working on his old farm tractors.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his Wife Mary Ellen Larrison Roahrig, whom he married June 15, 1952 and who passed February 25, 2003; Infant Sister Carma Roahrig and Infant Brother Eugene Roahrig.
He is survived by 1 Son Harold David (Carol) Roahrig of Plainfield; 3 Daughters Wilma Lee Roahrig of Plainfield, Thelma Jean Roahrig of Columbus and Mary Ann (Dallas) Kelly of Plainfield; 6 Grandchildren; 14 Great-Grandchildren; 2 Brothers Hayden W. Roahrig Jr. of Plainfield and Homer E. (Vera) Roahrig of Plainfield. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and friends.
Friends will be received Wednesday, March 28, 2012 from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main Street, Coshocton, OH 43812. A Funeral Service will be held concluding visitation at 11:00 AM Wednesday in the Miller Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Paul Gerycz Officiating. Burial will follow in Plainfield Cemetery in Plainfield, OH. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Hospice of Coshocton or the Kimbolton United Methodist Church, envelopes will be available at the Funeral Home.
