Life Legacy
Harold R. Shaw, 81, of Coshocton passed away at Coshocton County Memorial Hospital on Saturday March 9, 2013.
Harold was born in Coshocton on October 5, 1931 to the late Clarence Shaw and Sadunie (Ternaux) Myers.
He graduated from Coshocton High School and started working at Ohio Fabricators when he was sixteen years old and retired as President in 2011. Harold was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, past President of Coshocton County Chamber of Commerce, past member of Coshocton Kiwanis Club and Coshocton Campers Club.
He and his wife Rose loved their time spent going to Myrtle Beach and camping with their family and friends. Harold is survived by his wife Helen Rose (Lahna) Shaw who he married June 23, 1951; six children Marcia (James) Bush of Coshocton, Jerry (Cynthia) Shaw of Coshocton, Nancy (Robert) Bolin of Scottsdale, AZ, Janice (Jeffrey) Marlatt of Cambridge, Holly (Jack) Marlatt of Cambridge and Michael (Anne) Shaw of Coshocton; seven grandchildren Sarah (Chip) Udischas, Camela (Andy) Wirick, Christie and Ryan Marlatt, J.R., Jessica and Zackery Marlatt; four great grandchildren Faith and Alexis Udischas, Claire and Lucy Wirick; one brother Larry (Carolyn) Myers of Coshocton. Along with his mother and father, Harold is preceded in death by his step-father Don Myers.
Friends may call at The Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main St., Coshocton on Tuesday March 12, 2013 from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Wednesday at 10:30 AM with Father William Hrisko officiating. Interment will follow in Coshocton County Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to the American Cancer Society, envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
