Helen Lucille Champagne, 93, of Coshocton passed away Sunday May 18, 2014 at Autumn Healthcare of Coshocton.
She was born in Coshocton County on August 14, 1920 to the late Joseph E. and Stella Hagans Holdsworth.
Helen worked many years in the public. She was a waitress most of her adult life. Among the many restaurants she worked at was Andy’s on the Hill, Thomas’s Steak House, and The Elks Lodge. She was employed for several years at J.J. Newberry’s and Revco Drug Store.
Helen is survived by her daughter Ruth (Ron) Lahna of Coshocton; Daughter-in-law Kathy Saylor of Indiana; granddaughter Tori (Kevin) Florence of Clyde, Ohio; Two step- granddaughters Tammy Lahna Sweeny of Coshocton and Connie (Keith) Perry of Mentor, Ohio; 10 Great grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren; brother Robert “Bill” (Rose) Hagans; and step sister Peggy Holdsworth Mikesell.
She was preceded in death by her son, Joe Edward Saylor; grandson Craig W. Powell; brother Leonard Hagans; Sisters Mable Brown and Flora Richard; Step sisters Jean Newell and Pat Crown.
Friends may call at The Miller Funeral Home 639 Main Street, Coshocton on Thursday May 22, 2014 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM where funeral service will begin at 6:00 PM with Pastor Craig Redecker officiating.
Following funeral services, a cremation will take place and burial of Helen’s cremated remains will take place at a later date.
