Huguette H.J. “Gigi” Thornsley, 76, of Coshocton passed away at Doctor’s Hospital in Columbus on Friday June 21, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.
Gigi was born on May 18, 1948, in Paris, France to the late Daniel and Suzanne (Thibout) Wohlschlegel.
She worked at Ohio Fabricators, Coshocton Transit Authority and Kno-Ho-Co. Gigi lived for her family, was the matriarch, always there to offer advice, support and help, and even a needed, sometimes unwanted push in the right direction. She also enjoyed spending time with their horses, dogs and enjoyed her time delivering Meals on Wheels for the elderly in Coshocton County.
Gigi is survived by her loving husband Max R. Thornsley whom she married on February 11, 1967, in Paris; children Daniel “Dan” (Michelle) Thornsley of Coshocton and Valerie Thornsley of Coshocton; grandsons Logan and Dalton Thornsley of West Virginia and Max “Maxie” Thornsley of Coshocton; her two twin sisters Genevieve (Titi) Charleston and Daniele (Gerard J.J.) Bereschell both of France; several nieces and nephews; longtime friend Terri Coakley and Gigi’s faithful fur baby, Bailey.
Friends may call on at The Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main St., Coshocton on Tuesday June 25, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM where funeral services for Gigi will begin at 1:00 PM with Pastor Mike Jansen officiating. Interment will follow in South Lawn Cemetery.
