J. Wayne Karr

J. Wayne Karr, age 84, of South Zanesville, Ohio, passed away on April 29, 2023.

Wayne was born on March 9, 1939, to the late J. Earl and Zelma (Baker) Karr. He was married to Imogene “Jeanie” Yoho Karr for 48 years, she passed away on November 8, 2022.

He worked for the former Clow Corp, Simco Peabody, and AEP, Sunny Hill Mine, Spillman Trucking, and he also owned his own lawn mowing service, retiring in 2022. Wayne was a member of Grotto, The Moose, Aladdin Shrine, and was a 60-year member of the Masonic Temple.

Wayne is survived by his 4 children, Kay Lynn (Jerry Aronhalt) Karr, Janet (Steve) Seward, Susie Obrien, and David Karr; stepchildren Gary (Debbie) Edwards and Cheryl Robertson; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; sister Doris Jean (Don) Kaser; sisters-in-law Cindy Karr (Tom) Stockdale and Eleanor Long.

Along with his wife and parents, he is preceded in death by his brother Walter Karr.

Wayne will especially be missed by his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Per Wayne’s wishes, he will be cremated, and a private graveside service will be held at a later date. The Miller Funeral Home and Crematory are serving the family.
