Jack E. Thompson, 82, of Coshocton passed away at Autumn Health Care in Coshocton on Monday January 7, 2013.
Jack was born in Coshocton to the late John and Etta (Warner) Thompson on July 25, 1930.
He served in the United States Navy, retired from Clow Water Systems as a machinist, charter member of Conesville Fire Department, member of the Masonic Lodge and enjoyed spending time fishing, hunting and woodworking.
Jack is survived by his three children Linda (Gary) Smith, John (Terry) Thompson and Lora (Tom) Miller all of Coshocton; five grandchildren Michelle (Bo) Fortune, Shelly (Matt) McCready, John (Christina) Thompson, Scott (Rachel) Smith and Ashley Schweitzer; step grandson Rick Dearston; five great grandchildren. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Marcille Thompson who passed away June 16, 1995.
Friends may call at The Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main St., Coshocton on Wednesday January 9, 2013 from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM and one hour prior to the service on Thursday. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Thursday at 11:00 AM with Pastor Mark Granger officiating. Interment will follow in Coshocton County Memorial Gardens where Coshocton County Veterans Honor Guard will perform military honors.
