James Nelson

James Nelson, 69, of Coshocton passed away on Thursday, March 6, 2025 at Lafayette Pointe. He was born on June 23, 1955 in Coshocton to the late Albert F. Sr. and Kathryn (Dobson) Nelson. He was a graduate of River High School in 1974 and then spent his career as a truck driver. In recent years he enjoyed spending his time at home and appreciated the simple things. He looked forward to his scratch off tickets and his favorite snack, twinkies. He loved spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He is survived by his children, Stephanie Harrah, Jimmy (Kellie) Nelson and Stoney Nelson, all of Coshocton; grandchildren, Katie (Zach) Price, Seth Harrah, Amber Nelson, Skylar Nelson and Deacon Guilliams; three great grandchildren and siblings, Terry (Jeanna) Nelson and Mark Nelson

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Gladys (Rice) Nelson, who passed away in 2023 and brother, Albert F. Nelson Jr.

Special thanks to Scott, Terry, Cheyenne and Kim for their help in taking care of James.

Calling hours will be at The Miller Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 11, 2025 from 4pm to 6pm. The funeral service will begin at 6pm with Pastor Mark granger officiating. Burial of James and Gladys ashes will take place at South Lawn Cemetery at a later date.
