James Timothy Rizer Ii

James Timothy Rizer II, age 59, of Coshocton, passed away on April 2, 2024 at his home surrounded by his loved ones. James was born on March 4, 1965 to the late James T. Rizer Sr. and Carol (Goshorn) Rizer, who survives. He graduated from Coshocton High School in 1984. In school, he played baseball and basketball. On July 21, 1990, he married Jackie (Downing) Rizer, they have had a blessed 33 years together. He worked as a custodian for Coshocton County Head Start and Coshocton City Schools for years. He was also employed at Pretty Products. He was there to watch his children in all their sporting events and joined them in basketball in the alley. He enjoyed working on and rebuilding cars throughout his life and going to car shows. He liked to go to rough truck events with his wife, children, and grandchildren. He loved watching his grandchildren swim, ride four wheelers, watch fireworks and just play together at family outings.

Along with his wife and mother, he is survived by his children, Seth Rizer of Coshocton, Tess (Andrew) Freetage of Coshocton, James T. (Hayley) Rizer III of Newcomerstown and Torisa N. Rizer; seven grandchildren, David, Christian, Paislee, Deklen, Remington, Carson and Brantley; siblings, Lorri (Ron) Costello of Uhrichsville, Henry (Kelley) Baker of Warsaw, Robert (Evette) Rizer of Coshocton, Charles (April) Rizer of Plainfield and Ben (Tammy) Rizer of Coshocton as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at the Cornerstone North Church in Newcomerstown at 1124 W State Street in Newcomerstown on Saturday, April 13, 2024. Calling hours will be from 1pm to 2pm with a funeral service beginning at 2pm with Pastor Martin Addy officiating. A meal will follow the service.
