James "Jim" Winston Hill

James “Jim” Hill, 62, of West Lafayette passed away at his home on Tuesday, October 17, 2023.  He was born in Newark, OH on June 7, 1961 to the late Joe and Harriett (Brown) Hill.

Jim served in the National Guard and was a police officer in Texas and West Lafayette, OH. Most recently he retired from MPW. He enjoyed camping and spending time with his grandchildren.

Jim is survived by his wife of 42 years, Anita (Curliss) Hill; children Melonie Smith of Lancaster, Missie Nelson of Kimbolton, Marcia Espenscheid of West Lafayette, Nicole (Dustin) Wilson of West Lafayette, Alex Hill of Columbus, and Kistel (Andrew) Clark of Cumberland; 14 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; and his sister Christine (Jesse) Cullison.

Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his aunts, uncles, and two stepchildren.

A memorial service will be held at the Victory Center Church, 112 W. Main St., West Lafayette, Ohio 43845 on Saturday, October 21, 2023 at 2:00pm with Jesse Cullison officiating.
