James "Jim" Tubbs

April 11, 1936 — March 30, 2015

James “Jim” Tubbs Sr., 78, of Coshocton passed away Monday March 30, 2015 at Coshocton County Memorial Hospital.  He was born in Coshocton on April 11, 1936 to the late Earl Tubbs and Mary (Seward) Howlett.

Jim served in the United States Army during the Korean War, worked at Pretty Products for Forty-Three and a half years before retiring, and was the owner of Tubbs 76 Gas Station.

He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Tubbs whom he married May 27, 1956 ; children Ed (Carolyn) Tubbs of Zanesville, Tim (Sue) Tubbs, Dave (Cathy) Tubbs, Merri Wilson, Anthony “Tank” Tubbs, Renee Wilson, and Scott “Chop” (Bre) Tubbs all of Coshocton; stepdaughter Cheryl Donley of Coshocton; brother David Tubbs; brother-in-law John Phillips; sister-in-law Moira Tubbs; 15 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren with one on the way and several nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his sons Jon and Tom Tubbs; brother Larry Tubbs; sister Marylin Phillips and sister in law Judy Tubbs.

Private funeral services will be held at The Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main St., Coshocton with burial to follow at Coshocton County Memorial Gardens where the Coshocton County Veterans Honor Guard will be performing military honors.

In lieu of flowers memorial contribution may be directed towards The Wounded Warrior Project or The American Heart Association.
