Janice R. Smalley, 75 of Coshocton passed away at Coshocton Health and Rehabilitation on Friday March 14, 2014.
Janice was born in Steubenville, Ohio on May 5, 1938 to the late Thomas and Marjorie G. (Nagy) Pritchard. She owned and operated Jan’s Aquarium, taught red cross swimming classes, was a licensed scuba diver, loved spending time outdoors, fishing, swimming and gardening.
She is survived by her husband Richard L. “Dick” Smalley who she married July 27, 1956; son John L. Smalley of West Lafayette; daughter Linda S. (Thomas) Lafferty of Coshocton; brother Thomas (Sue) Pritchard of Coshocton; grandchildren Sarah (Kemp) Nolan, Ben Lafferty, Erik Lafferty, Michael Lafferty, Kira Smalley and Shawn Smalley; sister in law Sheryl (Jim) Slaughter of Pearl; several nieces and nephews.
Private family funeral services will take place with burial in South Lawn Cemetery.
