Jean A. Lower, 88, of Reynoldsburg, Ohio, formerly of West Lafayette and Coshocton passed away at Wesley Ridge Retirement Community on Wednesday March 12, 2014.
She was born to the late Roy and Isabel (Randles) Biggs on April 4, 1925. Jean graduated from Coshocton High school and Muskingum College with a degree in Education. She taught for many years in Coshocton Elementary and Etna Elementary.
Jean is survived by her son Brooke (Elaine) Lower of Columbus; daughter Kay Lower of Texas; grandchildren Shawn and Michael McCullough of Texas, Brooke Lower of Marion and Jennifer Lower of Columbus; several great grandchildren; sisters Elizabeth “Betty” Krabill of Wooster and Marjorie (Jon) Els of West Lafayette; several nieces and nephews. Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Francis “Sonny” Lower and brother Roy “Sonny” Biggs.
Friends may call at The Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main Street, Coshocton on March 16, 2014 from 12:00 PM Noon to 1:00 PM where funeral services will begin at 1:00 PM with Pastor Craig Redecker officiating. Interment will follow in Fairfield Cemetery, West Lafayette.
Memorial contributions may be directed to Methodist Elder Care Hospice, envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
